ControlPoint Technologies is currently supporting Electric Utilities in rural areas where telecommunication and broadband expansion programs are underway.   In these areas, the telecommunications companies wish to connect to existing utility overhead structures to expand the communication network.

Our Distribution Design Engineers will work on behalf of the electric utility to facilitate the third party attachments.  Our work will begin with a field survey of existing infrastructure to identify construction design issues that need to be resolved.

ControlPoint designers will provide utility work orders developed to current distribution standards, one-lines, drawings, pole and span imaging, tree trimming requirements, and detailed design.

In addition to engineering, ControlPoint provides the utility with a Technical Program Manager to oversee, facilitate all parties, and report on progress of each circuit, location, and project phase.
