ControlPoint Technologies is currently supporting Electric Power Utilities with Substation Transformer Replacement Projects.

Transformer replacement projects improve substation reliability and allow for transmission system upgrade and expansion.  A typical project will include increasing transformer size in the substation and providing mobile transformer with switches to accommodate the transfer. 

Scope of work includes new transformer foundations, civil/structural calculations and design.  Supporting equipment is replaced, including; circuit switchers, low side station service and potential transformers.  Scope also includes replacement of electromechanical relays with new microprocessor-based relays.

Deliverables include:  one line diagrams, three line diagrams, control schematics, protection and control panel layouts, physical drawings, substation arrangement drawings, foundation design, bill of materials, cable/conduit schedules, SCADA requirements, and interconnection diagrams.
