System Planning has grown in complexity due to the introduction of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and system wide load growth within an aging infrastructure.
ControlPoint Technologies’ team of Distribution System Planners includes Principal Engineers and Consultants to provide the analysis needed to support short-term and long-term planning studies. We will review the existing Area Electric Power System (EPS) to provide a Risk Assessment of Assets and alternative plans to accommodate the future needs of the area. Areas with Distributed Energy Resources in place or planned will be included in the Planning Study development.
Planning study deliverables will include analytical results, compliance verification, mitigation options and constructability review. Our consultants can provide the utility with economic analysis, project sequencing, and future load conditions to determine the best path forward. Our team will provide an executive summary with presentation to utility stakeholders.
